Questions about Bio

So we've had a few people that have had difficulty writing a bio. So Helen and I've decided to post a few examples of already submitted bios that are right on the money:

This is an example of a more general bio:
"Eve Bennett studied photography, film, drawing, and literature in college. She graduated from the metals department at Oregon College of Art & Craft in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She now enjoys making art in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Portland, Oregon, where she lives in blissful sin with her adorable partner Tim and their exuberant menagerie. Eve enjoys breakfast, gardening, humor & life!"

This one focuses more on the body of work:
"Raf Kelman works in a variety of media in the pursuit of decent art, including sculpture, installation, drawing, and animated video. These works came from a project on the Pine Ridge Lakota Reservation in South Dakota, in which he drew several portraits of people he met using carbon paper to make a copy of each portrait; the subject got the original, if they wanted it. Returning home he saw that many portraits had built up on the sheets of carbon paper, forming a complex chance drawing of overlapping faces. The pieces shown here came from that process; the negative space between the lines has been painted in with acrylic paint, revealing a composite portrait of various people from Pine Ridge."

If you want us to edit, or help fill in the blanks, or inspire in any other way, let us know. We would really like to have the bios by the first of May.

Bio and Contact info

So, if you've happened to already send us your pix and release form and submission fee... we also need a bio and contact info for the book. Some of you have already sent that along with everything else, but if you haven't, please do so, and if your stuck, Helen and Sarah made up a form to prompt you along. You can find it in the upper right hand column of this blog under the headline "Forms to Download" with the title "Bio." It's a .pdf so you'll have to download it. If it still doesn't help and you're still stuck, please, let us know... we'll do what we can to help you, and remember it doesn't have to be fancy, but it can be too.
